Terms of Service

The rules that govern access to One Step Order, OSO licences, subscriptions, downloads, updates and support.

Last updated: August 1, 2026

These Terms of Service form an agreement between you and One Step Order. By purchasing, downloading, installing or using OSO, creating an account, or accessing our website and related services, you agree to these Terms.

1. Acceptance of the Terms

You must read these Terms before using OSO. If you do not agree, do not purchase, install or use the product or services. If you use OSO for a company or another organization, you confirm that you have authority to accept these Terms on its behalf.

You must be legally capable of entering into a binding agreement in your jurisdiction. OSO is intended for businesses, professionals and individuals operating ecommerce websites, not for children.

2. The OSO service

One Step Order provides a WordPress and WooCommerce plugin designed to add direct product-page order functionality and related ecommerce tools. Available functionality may include order forms, payment-method support, shipping controls, WhatsApp options, upsells, quantity discounts, redirects, analytics integrations and product-level settings.

Features vary by edition and may evolve over time. Product descriptions, documentation and the pricing page identify the features intended to be included in each current edition.

3. Your store and customer data

OSO runs within your own WordPress and WooCommerce installation. Your products, customers and orders remain on your website and are not transmitted to One Step Order as part of the plugin’s normal operation.

You are responsible for your store, its content, checkout configuration, taxes, shipping, payment methods, customer communications, privacy notices, security and compliance with applicable laws. You must not send unnecessary customer personal information when requesting support.

4. Accounts and licence information

You must provide accurate and current information when purchasing or registering a licence. You are responsible for protecting your account credentials, licence keys and administrative access. Notify us promptly if you reasonably suspect unauthorized use.

Licence keys may not be shared, resold, published or used outside the permitted licence scope. We may use a commerce and licensing provider, such as Freemius or an equivalent service, to administer purchases, subscriptions, licence activation and software delivery.

5. Editions and permitted use

Free

The Free edition may be used without a subscription and may include limits described on the pricing or product page. Community-based WordPress support may be available, but a guaranteed response time is not included.

Branding and Scale

Branding and Scale are paid editions that unlock additional functionality and priority support. The applicable number of websites, activation limits and included features are those displayed at checkout or in the offer accepted at the time of purchase.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, a licence is granted to the purchaser as a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable right to use the applicable OSO edition during the valid licence or subscription period.

6. Pricing, billing and taxes

Prices are displayed before checkout and may be offered monthly or annually. Applicable taxes, currency conversion charges or payment-provider fees may be added where required. You authorize the payment provider to charge the selected payment method for the purchase and any recurring renewal disclosed at checkout.

Promotional prices and annual discounts may apply only to the stated billing period or offer. We may change prices for future purchases or renewal periods by providing notice where required. A price change does not retroactively alter a completed billing period.

7. Renewals and cancellation

A paid subscription may renew automatically for the same billing period unless it is cancelled before the renewal date. The checkout page or account area will indicate whether automatic renewal applies.

You may cancel through the account or billing portal supplied with your purchase, or by contacting us at [email protected] . Cancellation normally stops future renewals and does not automatically refund the current billing period. Access to paid updates, licence services and priority support may continue until the end of the paid period.

8. Refunds

Refund eligibility is governed by the Refund Policy published on the One Step Order website and any mandatory consumer rights that apply to your purchase. Requesting a refund does not guarantee approval. If a refund is issued, the related paid licence and access to paid services may be deactivated.

9. Updates, compatibility and support

We aim to maintain compatibility with supported versions of WordPress, WooCommerce and the environments identified in our documentation. We cannot guarantee compatibility with every theme, plugin, customization, hosting configuration or future third-party release.

Paid updates and priority support are provided while the relevant subscription or licence entitlement remains active. Support covers reasonable assistance with OSO and does not include managing your store, developing custom features, repairing unrelated extensions or guaranteeing a particular sales result.

10. Acceptable use

You must not use OSO or our services to violate law or third-party rights; distribute malware; bypass licence restrictions; interfere with security or service operation; conduct fraudulent, deceptive or abusive activity; or attempt unauthorized access to systems or accounts.

You must not misrepresent OSO as your own proprietary product, resell access except under a written agreement, or use our branding in a way that suggests an endorsement or partnership that does not exist.

11. Third-party services

OSO works with third-party software and services, including WordPress, WooCommerce, payment gateways, messaging services and analytics platforms. Those services are governed by their own terms, availability and privacy practices.

One Step Order does not control third-party services and is not responsible for changes, interruptions, fees, data practices or failures caused by them. References to WooCommerce, WordPress, Stripe, WooPayments, WhatsApp, Meta, TikTok or other third parties do not imply ownership or endorsement.

12. Intellectual property

One Step Order and its licensors retain their rights in OSO, its branding, website, documentation, designs and proprietary materials. Components distributed under an open-source licence remain subject to that licence. These Terms do not restrict rights granted by an applicable open-source licence.

You may not use One Step Order names, logos or trademarks without prior permission, except for accurate identification of the product.

13. Feedback

If you voluntarily provide suggestions or product feedback, you allow us to use that feedback to develop and improve OSO without an obligation to compensate you. This does not transfer ownership of your store content or confidential business information.

14. Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by law, OSO and related services are provided “as is” and “as available”. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation, compatibility with every environment, continued availability of every feature, or any specific conversion, revenue or business result.

You are responsible for testing OSO in an appropriate environment, maintaining backups and confirming that your checkout, payments, taxes, shipping and legal disclosures work correctly before relying on them in production.

15. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, One Step Order will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, customers, data, goodwill or business opportunities arising from or related to OSO or these Terms.

Where liability cannot be excluded, our aggregate liability relating to the paid service will not exceed the amount you paid to One Step Order for the affected service during the twelve months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

16. Suspension and termination

You may stop using OSO at any time. We may suspend or terminate access to licences, updates, support or related services if payment is overdue, these Terms are materially breached, use creates a security or legal risk, or suspension is required by law.

Where reasonably possible, we will provide notice and an opportunity to correct the issue. Provisions that by their nature should continue after termination—including payment obligations, intellectual property, disclaimers and liability limitations—will survive.

17. Changes to OSO or these Terms

We may improve, modify, discontinue or replace features as the product develops. We may also update these Terms to reflect service, legal or operational changes. The updated version will be posted with a revised date. Where required, we will provide additional notice before a material change takes effect.

18. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Québec and the federal laws of Canada applicable there, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Subject to mandatory rights available in your jurisdiction, disputes will be submitted to the competent courts located in Québec, Canada.
